After confirming that you are growing mold under your brown carpet, you can follow the steps below to remove the carpet mold.

Here are the following methods that you can implement when removing the form. Of course, each method depends on how heavy the mold is.

First preparation

Before you can get started, you'll need to take several steps to prepare your carpet for removing the mold:

  1. ventilate

Leave all windows and doors open and turn on the fans, if any. The air circulation in the room is important to prevent continuous growth of the mold and to reduce the musty odor.

  1. Reduce humidity

  • Let rest for 24 to 48 hours
  • Then remove the soda and dry the mold particles with a powerful vacuum cleaner

White wine vinegar

This is the most effective way to kill the mold. It can eradicate up to 82% of all mold fungi

You will need white vinegar, dehumidifier, spray bottle, wet-dry vacuum cleaner and a vacuum cleaner.

STEPS:

  • Make sure the carpet is dry
  • Spray the vinegar and water solution, which is in the spray bottle, on the top and bottom of the carpet
  • Be careful not to pour the vinegar solution, just spray it
  • Let the carpet dry
